Providing Wonder and Inspiration
I’ve found another reason I’m looking forward to living in my own apartment.
I acquired a Wii through a little bit of a trade a few months ago. I’ve yet to truly put it to use. The true use of it was to do yoga on the Wii Fit. I played Monster Hunter Tri on it a few times. Until today.
I needed to purchase a handful of batteries, which was sad. I went out to Walgreen, got what I needed, and came home. Put in the batteries and started up the system. I used to be borderline obese and overweight. Now I’m in the lower part of overweight. Nearly to normal. I did put on five pounds from my proud 180, so I’ll have to work on that. I know eating habits have been less than ideal and with the injuries, I haven’t really been able to work out. I figured I can do yoga to at least limber up for the time I hit the gym.
Original plan was to wear work out pants, but when I got home and shed my jeans, no roommate in sight, I thought, “Why am I putting on pants?” Glad in only my boxer briefs, I did my routines in our relatively warm apartment. I don’t want to turn on the air because it’s cool outside, but the breeze is rarely kind to our portion of the building.
I put in ten routines, a total of 20 minutes, and burned 54 calories. I used to love doing the tree, but I had a lot of difficulty on that. Actually overall I had issues. I was told I need to work my stability and core muscles. Alright, fine, I get it Wii lady! So I’ll start going to yoga at the gym I believe. Work on strengthening my flexibility. Was a lot of fun. I’ll have to keep this up!
I always just wear underwear when I do my yoga at home.
Haha. So red right now. Yeah, usually I have a roommate who wouldn’t appreciate that sight. But good to know I’m not the only one with that inclination!
🙂 have you watched the ‘yoga by equinox’ video on youtube?
I have not. I’ll have to search it. That good?
Watch it now! So beautiful.
Uh…wow. Even redder. The female body is just so pretty x.x
She’s incredible. I always watch that video for inspiration when I feel like skipping my practice.
I’m not that good. I think I could keep up the first 30 seconds. Because first I was like, “I’ll follow along with this video!” And then she did the hand stand and I laughed. After that it was just, “No, gravity hates me.” Maybe some day. But awesome that it inspires you. I feel it might inspire me in completely different and horrible ways. For I am but a weak man.
