Nanowrimo event 1

I had my first official Nano event! It was a lot of fun. I met s lot of very cool Pele and hit my word count. I think I might have to do more of these.

We had a few cool events. There was a honey comb thing where we passed our sheet around the room and complete strangers filled them in to give us story ideas down the road when our creative wells started running dry.

There was also something called Word Wars. I had heard of this before, but I didn’t know what it was. Today I participated in my first (three) round(s). It was pretty awesome. You go for a set amount of time and just write as fast as you can. Those at my table were hitting 800 words regularly. I was hitting 400. I am okay with this. I reached 1700 words tonight. So I’m at 1700 words. Not a great start. Tomorrow I have a lot of time dedicated to it. Might get a few more words in tonight. The Wednesday night is the next event I’m going to.

The apartment is still coming along great! Looks like you walked into a fantasy world! This makes me happy.

Get your words in! You can do it. For those not doing it, then do your thing. And stuff. God bless and good night!

Oh, one more awesome thing. Under person I want to meet, on my story idea sheet, someone wrote Jesus. Made me smile.

  1. Aren’t write-ins great? It’s so nice to meet other writers in person. I’m looking forward to seeing your updated word-count. šŸ™‚

    • Let’s not get too excited. I broke a nano rule. I deleted everything. I’m at 1700 now. But I have off today and tomorrow and that shall be a driving focus of my day!

      • I don’t think it’s a Nano rule to not start again – the rule is not to edit. So if you wiped the slate clean I think you’re still good.
