Thank you for joining me! Whether you are here as a reader, a writer, or just someone who likes to see pretty places, welcome!

Every day we go to work or school. We grind out the phone calls, homework, grades, and then we go home and watch TV. Shows bombard us with what they believe we should believe. It’s rare anything comes along that snaps us out of the daily grind.

Yet we have a rich history, one that is often forgotten.

There was a massive city where St. Louis is today. For no discernable reason is suddenly disappeared. There was a thriving civilization around the Indus River Valley, and now all we have are their ruins and an indecipherable language. Dragons are written about by most major civilizations, though many of them didn’t have contact with each other. Myths mark the passing of several cultures, while noting the foundations of some still here today.

This site, whether it is through my writing, spotlights on cool place, or other posts, is meant to aim you toward those magical places and people. Hopefully it will inspire you to dig further, or to at least, for a few moments with coffee in hand, forget about the 9-5 grind.

That is my hope both for the site, and my purpose as a writer. I wish to educate and entertain, and if I can at least accomplish one of those, my purpose is fulfilled.

I have embraced adventure through teaching 11 hours from home in eastern Kentucky. I went to Guatemala for regular mission trips, leading several. I also visited Panama to scout for possible mission opportunities. God is extremely important in my life, and He has blessed me with incredible opportunities to serve at home and afar. Sometimes, my exploration of the world is simply ordering food when I have no clue what it is. Other times, it’s making my world very small, and seeing through the eyes of my young children.

Thank you for joining me on this journey.

God Bless.

  1. Paul, just found your site through…somewhere??? Love your pieces under religion. That’s kinda what drew me in. I’ll be following and hope I can be of some support there. Especially with the patience and forgiveness part. Blessings to you.

    • Thanks so much! The forgiveness is actually coming along okay…generally 😉 Patience is still wanting. Hope they make good reads.

    • Things I meant to comment on but got super backed up and then forgot! Biscuits and gravy.

Thank you for the nomination! I unfortunately don’t usually do award posts, so likely will not post it up, but still, awesome to get nom’d. 🙂 Keep up the good work that you got nominated!

  4. If you don’t mind me asking, where in Wisconsin do you live?

    • South eastern WI. You give a lot of information on your profile. Watch yourself 😉 The internet is dark and full of terrors.

      • Oh okay, how do I give out “too” much information? Just curious.

      • Based on your “About me” it wouldn’t take a person very long to find you. Protect your identity.

      • Thank you. Your parents thank you as well. 😛 Ahem, but also thanks for stopping by! Hopefully I’m entertaining. Will return the follow.

      • Thank you! My parents probably do, lol, I changed my “about me.” Less of an actual risk to my safety now. 😛

      • …thanks. The internet is a horrible place, but so many shiny things. Also, welcome to my little digital domicile! Hope you enjoy the stuff.
